The Beatles ?

by admin on October 2, 2009

Sorry for the cliche question, but I’m curious to hear your favorite song by the Beatles, whether of all time and recently!
Since I bought that many albums there today, I can not talk much, but for now I’m really loving Revolution 9, it is so terrifying and extremely trippy!
Thank you

You may just be the first person i’ve “spoken” to that actually likes Revolution 9…
It’s too creepy for me.
My favorites are In My Life (it’s quite magical), Revolution (not 1 OR 9), Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and Hold Me Tight.
I tried to pick a song from each Beatles age like Lucy in the Sky- Sgt. Pepper, Revolution was the later years, Hold Me Tight was early years, and In My Life (my all-time favorite) was mid-60s…

Happiness Is a Warm Gun. It has five sections while being less than 3 minutes long. John Lennon described it as being “sort of a history of rock and roll”. The Beatles consider it to be one of the true “Beatles” songs on the White Album. Many people think the title refers to drug use, but John said the title comes from the cover of a GUN magazine. This song really shows the Beatles’ versatility.
Edit: I accidently put drug magazine. I meant to put gun.

Let it be.
All time favorite of mine.
I’ve also been hooked on The End recently too.
Revolution #9 always freaks me out…but in a good way.
That song is a conspiriter’s dream..

I’m gonna have to go with “Hey Jude” and “The Long and Winding Road.” Those are GREAT songs! However, I like every single Beatles song so it all sounds good to me. My favorite song by John Lennon-Imagine. Hands down!

“Tomorrow Never Knows” on Revolver is very trippy too.
I love “Revolution No. 9″, and you can really hear Yoko’s influence.
Here is a good song list:
“Help!”
“Ticket To Ride”
“Rain”
“A Day In The Life”
“Yesterday”
“Tomorrow Never Knows”
“Here Comes The Sun”
“Let It Be”
“Here Comes The Walrus”
“In My Life”
You need one more Beatles album: “Past Masters Vol. 2″.
